Minari (Oenanthe javanica), or Korean water celery, is a vibrant, peppery aquatic herb widely used in Korean cuisine for its detoxifying, nutrient-rich profile (Vitamin C, A, B1). Known for its resilience, it thrives in wet soil or shallow water. It is famously used in kimchi, salads, and soups, and gained fame from the 2020 film Minari. Plant is invasive. I grow my plants in children’s plastic swimming pool to contain plant from invading the rest of garden.
