This is a 2006 Epiphone Les Paul Custom in Alpine White that has aged into a really nice warm ivory/cream color over the years. If you like the look of an older white Les Paul Custom after the bright white finish has mellowed, this one already has that character naturally.
It has the traditional Custom appointments: multi-ply binding, bound headstock and fingerboard, split-diamond headstock inlay, block fingerboard inlays, black pickguard and control plastics, gold hardware, dual humbuckers, and Grover tuners. It has the heavier, substantial feel you expect from this generation of Les Paul Customs, with the familiar set-neck Les Paul construction and 24.75” scale.
Cosmetically, this is a player rather than a museum piece. The finish has naturally yellowed with age, and there is normal wear and fading to the gold hardware, particularly around the bridge, tailpiece and pickup covers. There are scattered light marks from normal use and a small ding on the back of the neck that is shown clearly in the photos. Nothing about the wear takes away from the overall appearance—in my opinion, it fits the naturally aged look of the guitar.
The guitar also includes the fitted hardshell case shown in the photos, which is a substantial plus for both storage and shipping.
