Features Include:

• Activation is achieved by pressing your Ford keyless entry remote's lock button three times within 4 seconds: So, the distance that you will be able to activate the remote starter will be the same distance that you can lock and unlock the vehicle now (unless you upgrade)
• 15-Minute Remote Start Run Time: The engine will shut down automatically after 15 minutes.
• Active Remote Shut-Down: You can cancel the remote starter sooner the same way you activated it.
• Active Key Takeover: The remote starter will not shut down when the driver's door is opened.
• Automatically engages the vehicle's climate controls based on prior settings.
• Activates OEM autolights while running.

Safety & Security Features:

• Brake Pedal Monitoring for Security: The vehicle's steering column remains locked, and if the brake pedal is stepped on without the ignition being turned on with the smart key, the remote starter will immediately shut down.
• Open Hood Monitoring for Safety: The remote starter cannot be activated if the vehicle's hood is open, and the engine will immediately shut off if the hood is opened while the vehicle is running by the remote starter.
• This system is equipped with the same OEM safety and operating restrictions as Ford's factory-installed remote starters: The system will detect any current or stored fault codes, which will prevent the remote starter from activating.If the hood is open, the transmission is not in park, the vehicle's battery voltage is too low, the check engine light is on, or any stored DTC codes(no visual lights on the dash)will prevent the system from activating (you can also consult your vehicle's owner's/operator's manual).
• Entrance protection and safety: In addition, on most Ford vehicles, depending on how the OEM ECM was configured, it will only allow key takeover to be performed within an allotted amount of time after entering the vehicle. This time span can range from 1 to 4 minutes before the engine will shut down if the key takeover has not been performed (you can also consult your vehicle's owner's/operator's manual).
• Fail-Safe Design: In any instance of a system failure, the system cannot prevent you from starting the vehicle normally with a key.

Just plug the antenna straight into this remote starter module, route and stick the antenna to the windshield, and program the remotes, and you're done. Depending on the remote package you choose, you can turn this system into a 1-way or 2-way confirming LCD remote system and boost it to get anywhere from 1200' to 1 mile of range!
• Extended Range Keyless Entry: Upgrade this system any time during or after installation with any of the remote packages as indicated above, and as a bonus, you'll enable the ability to also lock and unlock your vehicle from the same distance that you can remote start it, even with just the 1-button remote kits.
