The 51 mm (2 in) copper clad aluminum wire is wound in a double layer using a high temperature resin adhesive on a strong polyimide former and features a generous 14.2 mm winding length for extended Xmax and less distortion.
The 2″ voice coil also ensures high heat dissipation and the necessary motor strength to deliver high sensitivity even on high power with the minimum distortion.
A Qts of 0.37 and an unique double roll dimple suspension design allows for a flat response from 200Hz to 2500Hz, even at high excursion controlling well its natural paper cone at its 5.10 mm Xmax.
Its composite cone is built with non-pressed paper (visible on the back side) for reduced break-up and smooth sound.Its extended frequency response up 8,500hz makes this midrange driver a perfect to combine with anySuper Tweeter.
