QUALITY!Tiffany & Loetz in Chicago at the 1893 World\'s Fair......caused an enormous appetite for everything Tiffany, Loetz, & Expensive Iridescent Stuff in Chicago following the fair. Tiffany Glass & Dec. Co. maintained/stocked 2 dedicated showrooms (in Marshall Field\'s & other in Fine Arts Bldg./Orchestra Hall), and supplied jewelers up & down State St. with thousands+++ of Favrile pieces after the huge success at the fair. I believe early distribution here equaled or surpassed the distribution/sales in New York because of the sensational nature of The Columbian Expo here. Until the early 70s, Tiffany was for sale everywhere that sold antiques/house sales/resale shops, and fast forward 50 years (now), & you won\'t find a single nice piece of LCT for sale in a retail setting, at any price.
