This plug leaves the factory pre-gapped at 0.043 in (1.1 mm). That is the manufacturing spec for the part, not necessarily the spec for your engine.
Older GM service literature called for 0.060 in on some engines. GM later revised the LS family specification to 0.040 in. Check the figure your own vehicle calls for before fitting, and set the plugs to that number if it differs.

Both wear surfaces resist spark erosion, so the gap stays close to where it started across the service life instead of opening up. Copper core centre electrode Moves heat out of the firing tip, which keeps the plug in its working temperature band across a wide range of loads. Ribless insulator A smooth insulator body improves the seal against the coil boot, which matters on coil-near-plug engines where the boot does the sealing work. Integral suppressor seal One piece, so it meters spark energy, seals against compression leakage, and keeps radio frequency interference down.
