My "Mr. Know it all" insists its antique Chinese, I personally know the gong is at least over 80 years and is pre-communist. To be safe I am selling as vintage at least 80 years old.
On the inside is inscribed, but I do not understand "1129" and Chinese characters.
Using a rubber mallet (no damage) I used it 2 or 3 times about 50 years ago, sounded fine and hanged as a wall hanger for about 20 years then later put in storage.
1.25" and other for .75" is in the bent pushed in the center, see my picture centers. This is the way I found it 60 years ago.
Please understand this is top quality, do not confuse with modern Chinese communist junk.
