This is an exquisite French antique easel picture frame made of gilded bronze (ormolu) featuring intricate polychrome champlevé enamel decoration. Dating back to the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900) during the Napoleon III or early Belle Époque period, the frame showcases a beautifully arched top with an stylized crest.
The borders are decorated with vibrant, multicolored enamels depicting floral motifs, leaves, and scrolling vines in shades of soft pink, emerald green, cobalt blue, white, and deep wine red against a textured matte gold background.
The reverse features a solid gilded brass backing plate secured by a small swivel loop at the top, along with its original, ornately pierced geometric easel stand that allows it to stand firmly on a tabletop.
