This is a stunning antique ART NOUVEAU STERLING SILVER PIN TRAY by SHREVE SAN FRANCISCO, dating from the turn of the century. The crisp detail and quality of workmanship are outstanding on this piece. The shape is rectangular, with wide shaped borders decorated with repousse cherub and scroll patterns. It measures 9 1/4\" long and 4 1/4\" across. There is a fancy initial \"S\" engraved in the center of the piece. The weight is 98 grams or 3 1/2 standard ounces, quite substantial compared to like pieces of the period. It is marked Shreve and sterling 925/1000 fine. This piece is in great estate condition with no removals or repairs. I have taken a number of photographs so one can see what a nice tray this is. Please excuse ceiling reflections and shadows on the photos. Shipping is via priority mail and includes insurance.
