• The green cloth retains most of its deep, rich color.
• The gold leaf (gilt) lettering remains remarkably bright and sharp.
• The corners exhibit minor \"bumping\" and edge wear, typical of age and use for a 19th c book over 150 years old.
• The binding is tight, the joint is intact.
• There is somebrown spotting (\"foxing\") caused by chemical reactions in 19th-century paper.
• The title page, preface, and all text pages are completely intact with no missing or torn leaves.The paper is supple.
