The Aeromotive 16306 Billet Fuel Pump Speed Controller (FPSC) is a universal electronic controller designed to extend pump life and eliminate vapor lock by matching the fuel pump\'s duty cycle to actual engine demand. Rather than running the pump at full speed at all times -- which causes excess fuel heating and suction-side cavitation during low-demand driving -- the FPSC uses pulse width modulation to slow the pump at idle and light throttle, then ramps it back to 100% duty cycle as demand increases. Unlike voltage-reduction controllers, the FPSC never reduces voltage to the pump motor; it emits a PWM signal that is safe for 12V DC motors and will not cause premature motor failure. The solid-state transistor circuit handles up to 40 amps and replaces the relay-based wiring recommended in most high-performance fuel pump installations.

The adjustable threshold knob lets the installer calibrate the RPM point at which the pump returns to full speed, and three LED indicators confirm correct ignition hookup, manual override activation, and full voltage delivery. The 6061-T651 billet aluminum housing is black anodized and runs at low operating temperature, allowing installation in virtually any underhood or interior location. The controller is moisture resistant but not waterproof -- avoid locations with direct water exposure. Not legal for sale or use on emission-controlled vehicles.
