African Eland Taxidermy Shoulder Mount Large 66\" Eastern Cape South Africa 2011 For Sale

I am currently cleaning out my late husbands large taxidermy heads and full body mounts. This very large, very beautiful Giant African Eland was shot in South Africa in 2011. African Elands are the largest African species from the Antelope family. Elands are the largest antelopes in the world, known for their size and distinctive spiral horns. Both males and female Elands have horns, but the older male Elands develop a prominent loose flap of skin hanging from their neck (as shown in the photos)

If you are a collector of African Wildlife or taxidermy pieces in general, this is a beautiful animal and has been well loved and well taken care of. Horns are removable, as the original taxidermist sawed off the original interior bone spikes, leaving about a 6\" piece so that the horns fit snugly into their original position and allow for much easier shipping.
