Alcoholics Anonymous "Twelve & Twelve" 1st Printing D-C (1953) w/dust jacket.
The book that memorializes the beginning of the "adolescent" period of AA. Written by Bill Wilson and Tom Powers 18 years after the beginning of AA. A rewriting of the 12 Steps based on two decades of collective experience watching a rapidly growing movement. The book introduced for the first time concepts such as "method of substitution" of a Higher Power, acceptance of early stage cases and young members, and the 12 Principles for the legacy of Unity. The Traditions were voted in by the fellowship at the International Conference in Cleveland just 3 years prior, where Dr. Bob also gave his final talk. A very historic and increasingly rare first printing.
