This listing is for the exact plant in the photos. Aloe marlothii, commonly known as Mountain Aloe, is endemic to South Africa. It grows as a single trunk tree Aloe. The yellow orange flowers grow horizontally on contrasting dark brown stalks. Great show-stopping display that attracts people and pollinators.
This plant is outdoor-grown (not in a greenhouse), gets morning sun and dappled shade in mid afternoon. In peak summer or during extremely high temps, it is under a light shade of a common window screen material. They can be acclimated to full sun when they get bigger.
CARE: This species is very easy to grow. Plant in a very well-draining soil mix. Give plenty of bright light to keep its compact form. This plant produces a whitish sunscreen when exposed to bright light. Allow soil to dry somewhat in between watering to prevent root rot. Plant in a well-draining soil mix and fertilize once during the growing season.
