This is a set of 6 volumes of "Animate Creation; Popular Edition of 'Our Living World,' A Natural History" published by Selmar Hess in 1898. The books are hardcover and written in English by Rev. J. G. Wood and revised by Joseph B. Holder, M.D. The books are in very good condition with no dust jacket. The books have 3/4 leather over pebbled brown boards, five raised spine bands, all edges gilt, gilt spine and cover titles. The books have light wear to unmarked inner pages, tipped-in color plates, color frontis., upper spine and corners. All volumes are clean, sound bindings, and extra postage is required for this multi-volume set. This is a very interesting book and has some nice visuals there are some ripped pages but this 1890s books is so incredible.
