Why is my power bank providing fewer charges than expected?
The reduced capacity during charging is due to a 35% to 45% energy loss in the battery cells and conversion circuitry. Therefore, a fully charged Anker 622 Battery (PowerCore 5K) typically offers an estimated 2,750 to 3,250mAh to power devices. How can I estimate the number of charges for my device?
To estimate charging cycles, use this formula:(Power Bank Capacity × 0.6) ÷ Device Battery Capacity ≈ Number of Charges. For example, a 5,000mAh power bank charging a 3,000mAh device would typically provide about 1 charge. Why is my phone overheating?
It's normal for both the power bank and phone to heat up during wireless charging due to power loss. For safety, we recommend maintaining the power bank's temperature within 118°F (48℃), so you can use it with confidence. Why does charging stop at 80%?
Your iPhone may automatically stop charging at 80% to protect its battery from overheating, as part of iOS 17's thermal management strategy. Charging will resume once the device cools down. Moving it to a cooler spot can help speed up this process. How can I recharge the battery more efficiently, and is it compatible with Android phones?
For efficient recharge, use a 12W charger. The power bank supports 7.5W max wireless charging for iPhone 12 and later models. It’s not compatible with Android phones. Cases thicker than 2.5 mm and non-magnetic cases may reduce charging efficiency.
