A striking late-19th-century American kerosene lamp featuring the desirable Torch & Wreath pattern, with a beautifully decorated teal glass font mounted on an ornate clear pressed-glass pedestal base.
The lamp is associated with Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton of Findlay, Ohio, an important American glass manufacturer of the period. Its collar construction is consistent with the patented style introduced in 1894, placing this example in the late Victorian period, most likely circa 1894–1900.
The glass font features a rich teal-painted ground surrounding a repeating classical torch-and-wreath relief design. Portions of the molded decoration were deliberately left free of the teal color, creating contrast that emphasizes the torches, foliage, outlines and other dimensional details of the pattern. This selective treatment beautifully showcases the elaborate molded glasswork and gives the lamp its particularly distinctive appearance.
The clear pressed-glass pedestal is equally attractive, with elongated molded leaf or teardrop details along the stem and a broad paneled foot accented by a delicate beaded border.
The brass burner/gallery is marked EAGLE and retains its naturally aged patina. The tall chimney-retaining arms are part of the period burner/gallery assembly.
The lamp is accompanied by the pictured frosted glass chimney, which complements the lamp beautifully. Because removable chimneys were routinely replaced during the working lives of antique oil lamps, the chimney is included but is not represented as original to the lamp.

Condition: Very good antique condition for its age. The glass presents beautifully, with expected age-related wear to the teal finish. The brass components retain natural oxidation and patina. The wick adjustment dial is currently stationary and does not turn; no attempt has been made to force or repair the mechanism. The lamp has not been tested with kerosene and is sold as an antique decorative collectible.
The lamp has intentionally not been refinished, repainted or aggressively polished, preserving its antique surfaces and character.
