Antique 1891 Pictorial Padded Family Bible Concordance Massive Holman Nice #56 For Sale

Antique 1891 Pictorial Padded Family Bible Concordance Massive A J Holman #56I have many Antique Bibles I have collected over the years and now needing space will continue to list them as I have time. Please check out all of my other Antique Bibles I have listed as there is quite a variety. Many of these Family Bibles were printed and bound by the National Publishing Company in Philadelphia, but were sold by door to door salesmen throughout the country. Rather than put its own name and Philadelphia as the place of publication on the title, a variety of companies (who employed the salesmen) in various cities and states had their name and city put on the title. It should also be said that these Bibles were done to order: the salesmen took a textually abbreviated sample with them, with examples of all the \'extras\' available (including a Bible dictionary, various qualities of illustrations (the more expensive in full color), a place for family pictures and plain to fancy bindings. (Prices ranged from about $5 to about $35., with the salesman trying to get the family to spend the very most it could afford!)
