Dating to the Qing Dynasty during the Qianlong Period, circa 1736 to 1795, this authentic export teapot features highly detailed, hand-painted decorations in vibrant famille rose enamels. The main body depicts a beautifully rendered bird standing near large flowering peony blossoms and traditional scholar\'s rockwork, while the matching cover is adorned with delicate floral sprays and a classic bud-form finial.
Condition - please review all photos carefully as they form an important part of the description. The teapot shows clear signs of its age and long history, most notably a historic antique repair with an overpainted wrapped binding to the handle, and a visible hairline crack on the lid. The finials top has wear and spout lip appears to have a firing flaw or smoothed repair. The main porcelain body and spout remain structurally sound without major chips, and the colorful enamels are still wonderfully bright despite light age-related surface wear, minor gilt rubbing, and typical manufacturing firing flaws.
