This sale is for a fine looking antique Chinese Opera doll, probably dating from the late 19th, early 20th century.
He is made from cloth and bisque, possibly composition material. He has long hair plaits and his head and hat, lower arms and feet are all hand-painted; his body and upper limbs are made from cloth, soft filled and he can be posed. His head to neck joint appears to be detached/loose making the head flop a bit but he may have been made this way.
There\'s a \'CHINA\' stamp to his left foot, please see the relevant photo.
