Up for sale is a stunning antique evening bag dating from the late Edwardian to early Art Deco eras (circa 1910s–1920s). This beautiful piece features an elongated \"cathedral\" or arched silhouette meticulously crafted from fine metal chainmail mesh.
The purse features a gorgeous curved, structured frame adorned with elegant, subtle engraved patterns along the border. It secures with a classic kiss-lock clasp at the top and comes attached to its original delicate chain link handle, perfect for wearing as a wristlet or carrying elegantly for formal occasions.
The bottom edge is finished with a charming scalloped/zigzag chainmail fringe that gives the bag great movement.

• Mesh & Frame: The chainmail is in overall excellent shape for its age with fantastic flexibility. The frame opens smoothly and the kiss-clasp snaps shut securely. It is not noticeable unless you are looking for it. • Patina & Wear: Displays a beautiful, genuine aged patina and natural minor surface oxidation/tarnish as expected with authentic metal antiques.
