Unusual antique miniature precision vise / work-holding tool.
All-metal construction with a toothed rack-style sliding adjustment, large knurled adjustment wheel, stepped jaws and fine mechanical construction. No manufacturer name or identifying markings found. The main body measures approximately 2.5” long with the knurled thumb wheel being about 0.625” in diameter
Exact original application is unknown. Appears to be a specialized precision vise or work-holding fixture likely intended for small-scale work such as watchmaking, jewelry, clock repair, instrument making, gunsmithing or precision machining.
Mechanism moves and operates. Shows normal age-related wear, patina, scratches and oxidation as pictured. I have not cleaned or restored it.
Please review all photos carefully for design, condition and identification. Sold as pictured.
