The English bulldog first came out in 1917 during the First World War with a \'Tommy\'s\' uniform representing the soldiers fighting in that terrible war. Then in 1940 another version was issued draped in the Union Jack and sporting one black eye. That is this version. This one is dated 1941 (to get the year, take 1927 and add the number on the back - this one is 14, hence 1941).
This version came in three sizes, and this is the smallest (2-1/2\" tall, 2\" wide and 3-3/4\" long). I have had this for many years and enjoyed it. It is in excellent condition with just one scratching to some of the paint on the Union Jack - hardly noticeable but must be mentioned. (Please see the photos for a better idea of the condition).
