Antique 5.25” All Bisque Mignonette Doll Rare Gray Tassel Boots Handmade Dress

A beautiful 5.25-inch antique all-bisque mignonette with particularly rare and wonderful footwear: molded gray boots decorated with black tassels, paired with white ribbed stockings edged in green. These unusual details give her tremendous character and make her a lovely addition to a mignonette collection.

She has a sweet face with dark glass eyes, finely painted lashes and brows, rosy cheeks, and a tiny painted mouth. Her bisque body has separately jointed arms and legs and a separate head.

She wears a gorgeous newer replacement dress that appears to be entirely handmade. The blue fabric is beautifully accented with intricate cream lace, a ribbon sash and bow, and a softly gathered lower ruffle. Her full blonde mohair wig is also a newer replacement and was likely handmade, with little curls framing her face and long hair flowing down her back.

Approximately 5.25 inches tall.

Condition

Please examine the close-up photographs of the undressed doll for bisque condition. Small surface marks and specks are visible, along with some wear to the painted boots and stockings. The dress and mohair wig are newer replacements, rather than original to the doll. The lace and trim have some fraying, visible in the photographs.
