DescriptionBeautiful antique B&C Limoges France porcelain fish service, featuring a coordinated collection of colorful freshwater fish scenes.The service has a wonderful pale celadon/mint-green fluted border with gilt gold edging, a fine gold inner line, and individually decorated fish scenes surrounded by aquatic foliage and soft blue-green water backgrounds. The large serving platter carries the same decoration and makes an impressive centerpiece.14 piece service includes:* 12 fish plates — approximately 9¾” diameter
* 1 large oval fish platter — approximately 16” × 11¾”
* 1 sauce/gravy boat — approximately 7” long.
* Limoges mark between about 1908–1937. The underside bears a B&C Limoges France porcelain mark. Please see the close-up photograph of the backstamp as part of the description.The individual plates feature different coordinating fish illustrations, rather than simply repeating one identical scene. This makes the complete service particularly attractive for display as well as table use.Condition: Antique/pre-owned condition with age-related wear. Gold decoration shows some wear consistent with age and use. Please carefully examine all photographs for condition, decoration and details.
