This was purchased in the 1920s - 1930s. It was my step-grandfather’s fishing rod when he was a child.
The label on the bamboo fly fishing rod reads:
B. H. Dyas Co., 7th Street, Los Angeles.
I believe this can possibly be a Montague brand fishing rod, but we are not 100% certain. There are no markings for the brand anywhere on the fishing rod.
Antique B.H. Dyas Co. Los Angeles split bamboo fly fishing rod.
3-piece configuration with two tip sections included. Each section is roughly 32.5 inches long.
The small metal collar on the bottom is loose, please see pictures.
Also includes vintage cloth rod bag and metal storage tube as pictured.
Original B.H. Dyas Co. Los Angeles arrowhead decal remains visible. Features decorative red and black wraps, cork grip, and metal fittings.
Vintage condition with noticeable wear, especially to the cork handle. Finish, wraps, hardware, and tube show age-related wear. Please review photos carefully.
Rod has not been restored or refinished. Manufacturer beyond the B.H. Dyas retailer branding is unknown. Sold as shown.
