Antique Bail Handle Painted Bucket:

Sometime around 1900, this smaller size pailprobably started out as a berry or vegetable bucket. Theexterior was painted blue; it has metal banding and a bail handle. Hand paintedlettering on the side looks like a name, possibly of a former owner. Interior suggests it had later use for whitewashing. Measures 7 ½ x 11; handle adds5 ½ in. Shows use and aging, paint hasfaded, bands rusted, staves loose but a good soaking tightens them up nicely.
