An exceptional five-piece antique porcelain set by Chikusa, featuring elaborate raised gold floral decoration against a warm ivory-white ground.
The set includes one large 9.5-inch plate with a softly scalloped edge and four coordinating 6.25-inch dessert or bread plates. Each piece is richly ornamented with dimensional flowers, scrolling vines, stylized leaves and a finely detailed gold rim. The smaller plates repeat the same dramatic botanical design, creating a cohesive presentation around the larger centerpiece.
The extensive raised gilding gives the decoration remarkable texture and depth. Although these pieces may be used individually, the group is especially striking displayed together on a wall, in a china cabinet or across a mantel or console.

The Nippon designation generally places export porcelain of this type within the 1891–1921 period. Based on the styling and decoration, these likely date to the early 20th century, approximately the 1910s to 1921.
