Antique Chinese Nanjing Crackle Ware Vase, Warrior SceneA handsome antique Chinese crackle-glazed stoneware vase in the classic Nanjing (Nanking) style, probably late Qing to Republic period. Hand-painted in rich green, pink, yellow, and orange enamels, it shows mounted warriors in battle on the body and standard-bearers with trigram banners on the neck. Applied brown relief dragons climb the neck, with a molded wave band at the shoulder and foot. The construction is hand-made and slightly uneven, as expected of a genuinely old piece. It has a deep crackle glaze, an unglazed foot rim, and a molded seal mark on the base with an old paper label remnant.Measurements: About 11.5 - 12\" tall, about 4¾\" across the body, about 4\" across the mouth.Condition (please read): Sold as found, with age wear and damage. The rim has chips and an old repair. Both neck handles have losses showing bare clay, and the two front climbing dragons have visible repair lines. There\'s glaze wear and staining consistent with age. See all photos, which are part of the description. No water testing, so please treat it as decorative.Ships double-boxed with generous padding.
