I don\'t know much about this piece, but I know it looks old! Based on my research, it was made circa 1907 and was used as a candy container. The sliding metal door on the bottom opens and closes, but the door does not come all the way off. It only opens about halfway.
There are no chips or cracks. There is a fine scratch that runs across the front, but it looks more like a cooling line that happened during the manufacturing process. The painted design has worn off quite a bit due to it being over 100 years old. The painting used to be two bears. It\'s a very cool piece of history!
I do my best to describe every item as accurately as possible. Listing titles and descriptions are based on the research I conduct using available online resources and reference materials. If you believe an item has been identified incorrectly, please don\'t hesitate to send me a message—I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the vintage items I love to collect!
Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. I am happy to provide more photos upon request.
