This is an antique Eastman Kodak Co. No. 2B camera tripod manufactured in Rochester, New York. The compact folding design uses three telescoping metal legs that extend to create a full-height camera support while collapsing into a remarkably small package for transport.
The tripod head is engraved No. 2B Kodak Tripod – Eastman Kodak Co. – Rochester, N.Y. Patent markings visible on the head include dates from 1897 and 1911.

The black finish has scratches, scuffs, finish loss and other age-related wear. Metal components have normal vintage patina/oxidation. Pointed feet remain intact. The leather carrying case shows substantial age-related wear, scuffing, edge wear and dryness but remains usable. The leather case previously had a noticeable storage/smoke-type odor. It has been aired out and the odor has diminished substantially; however, a faint residual storage odor may remain. This is disclosed for buyers who may be particularly sensitive to odors.
