Beautiful antique Edwardian-era cotton petticoat / underskirt, dating to approximately the early 1900s. Made from lightweight cream cotton with a very full gathered silhouette, rows of narrow pintucks around the lower skirt, and a lovely scalloped eyelet embroidered hem. Finished with a simple waistband and mother of pearl button closure.Fresh to market and unlaundered. There is minor scattered age-related spotting, staining and discoloration throughout, much of which is lost in the pleating. Please review photographs. The present cream/eggshell tone may be due in part to age. A beautiful authentic period undergarment with wonderful fullness and decorative detail, suitable for a collection, display, study, costuming or wear.Waist measures approximately 26 inches.
