Antique Effanbee Rosemary Walk Talk Sleep Composition Doll 28” Original Clothes
Antique Effanbee Rosemary “Walk Talk Sleep” composition doll from the late 1920s era. Large size measuring approximately 27.5” tall (often referenced in the larger 28–30” size range). Clearly marked on the back of the shoulder plate EFFanBEE ROSEMARY WALK TALK SLEEP MADE IN USA.
She retains her original brunette wig, original romper/undergarment, pink socks and two-button shoes. The original clothing and footwear are a wonderful feature on a doll of this age. Beautiful blue sleep eyes with real upper lashes, open mouth and rosy cheek coloring.
Composition head, arms and legs with cloth body. Body feels remarkably solid and sturdy. Arms and legs remain firmly attached. She can be positioned standing with support; no stand included.
Please review photos carefully for condition. She has age-related crazing throughout the composition, including facial crazing visible close-up. There is paint loss/wear and heavier wear to the fingers/hands. Legs show crazing and scattered surface wear, with noticeably better-preserved original finish on the lower legs/feet where the socks protected the composition. Shoes and socks show age and wear.
Walk/talk mechanism is no longer functioning. Original wig remains full with long curls but has age-related flyaways/messiness.
