For yourconsideration is a beautiful antique entry mortise door lock set manufactured by J. Chesler & Sons in Brooklyn NYin the early 1900\'s. The mortise is type \'A\' as shown in the 1937 Chesler trade catalog. The set comes with beautiful gothic brass pull handle, 12 point crystal glass knob, roseand lock cylinder with 3 keys. The lock face plate, latch, bolt and many of the internal parts are made of brass. The lock body is cast iron. The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled. The lock is reversible - it will work with a right or left hand swing door. Dimensions of the face plate: 7-3/4 x 1-1/8\", distance between the lock face and center-of-hub (set back): 2-1/2\", distance between center-of-hub and center-of-cylinder: 3-1/2\".
