This was a collection belongs to Nancy H. Cole, a renowned puppeteer, graduated from Carnegie Mellon’s School of drama with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She went onto receive her Masters of Arts degree at Stanford University. Cole directed many plays for the Puppet Studio Theater (PST) including an adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Tempest”, and “The Emperor’s Nightingale”. She taught puppetry for New York University’s Education Theater Program and served as director of Middle School Drama at the Spence School in New York City. Cole is also involved in the Puppeteers of America organization and taught a summer puppetry program for the American Conservatory Theater.

Beautiful collection of eight miniature hand-colored etchings depicting scenes from the classic Punch & Judy puppet theater. These illustrations closely resemble the celebrated works of George Cruikshank, originally published in the early 19th century.
The prints are attractively displayed in two matching frames, with four etchings in each frame, making an excellent display for collectors of antique prints, Victorian art, theatrical memorabilia, or George Cruikshank illustrations.
