REINERThe 800 fineness mark indicates 800/1000 silver (80% silver). Gebrüder Reiner identifies its 800 silver as a solid silver alloy consisting of 80% silver and 20% copper. This is not silver plate. Gebrüder Reiner has a long Bavarian silver-making history dating to 1874, when Josef Reiner founded the Bavarian Silver Factory in Krumbach. The Gebrüder Reiner name was established in 1899 by Josef Reiner’s sons Wilhelm and Josef Jr. Historical Solothurn designThe center of the dish features a highly detailed medallion depicting imagery from the 1760 silver 20 Kreuzer coin of Solothurn, Switzerland.One side depicts the crowned arms of Solothurn with the Latin inscription:MONETA REIP. SOLODORENSISThe opposite side depicts a crowned cross with an intertwined S and the inscription:CUNCTA PER DEUM 1760

Please note: I am describing the centerpiece as a Solothurn 1760 20 Kreuzer coin design/medallion, not representing it as an original 1760 coin.ConditionPre-owned antique/vintage condition with numerous surface scratches and signs of previous polishing/use, consistent with an older silver serving piece. The raised flower-shaped sections remain highly reflective. Please examine all photographs carefully, as the photographs are part of the condition description.There is also a stamped number 3574 on the underside.
