Antique H.W. Hawkins adjustable clamp-on ice skates manufactured in Derby, Connecticut and featuring Shirley patent dates of April 12, 1859 and June 25, 1861 along with the Hawkins patent dated March 28, 1865.
These early iron skates retain their original adjustable clamp mechanism, beautiful antique patina and period construction. They are being offered as antique sporting collectibles or display pieces and have not been tested for skating.
