I measured resistance of rotor windings and got approx 172 Ohms across combined windings 180 degrees apart. Measuring between adjacent rotor contacts in several places I got approx 14 Ohms.
The stator windings appear to be open
The serial number 8410 in the manufacturer SN list, indicates it was made in 1900
The shaft turns smoothly and easily by hand with no noticeable wobble.

It will be shipped in a new heavy duty box using quality packing materials. The motor will be secured primarily using polyethylene foam that is only pushing against the cast iron and not on more delicate parts (No flimsy polystyrene). Even so as a precaution I will remove the 2 brass oil cups and the 2 brush cylinders and put in a small well protected box
