Up for sale is an exceptional piece of American Chicago Studio porcelain art: an authentic J.H. Stouffer Company footed pedestal bowl featuring two elegant gilded handles. This piece is exquisitely hand-painted in Stouffer’s highly collectible "Daisies Medallions" pattern.
It is prominently hand-signed within the scrollwork by premier Stouffer studio artisan J. Simek.
The bowl features a brilliant, heavily encrusted gold well surrounded by alternating stylized Art Nouveau scroll borders and vibrant cobalt blue enameled panels housing crisp white daisies. The raised jewel-like enamel work and fine-line detailing showcase the elite level of craftsmanship Stouffer was celebrated for.
Markings:
- Signed "J. Simek" on the interior border.
- Stamped on the base with the early, authentic green/gold "STOUFFER HAND PAINTED" block backstamp, dating this exact piece to the 1906–1914 production window.
Condition Report:
Excellent antique condition. The heavy gold leaf interior is exceptionally bright and reflective, showing only very faint, minor surface wipe marks consistent with age and display. The raised enamel on the daisies and blue panels is 100% intact with no missing jewels or chipping. No chips, cracks, hairlines, or restoration. Please examine the high-resolution photos carefully as they serve as the definitive description of condition.
