An impressive antique Japanese cloisonné enamel vase dating to the late Meiji to early Taishō period, beautifully decorated with a powerful dragon and an elegant phoenix in finely executed wirework.
The vase features two richly detailed decorative panels, one depicting a dynamic dragon and the opposite displaying a graceful phoenix in flight. Both are surrounded by intricate scrolling foliage, colorful floral elements, and carefully arranged geometric borders.
The warm reddish-brown ground provides a striking contrast to the vibrant enamel colors, while the elaborate decoration around the shoulder and neck demonstrates the skill and precision of Japanese cloisonné craftsmanship.
The dragon and phoenix are traditional symbols of strength, harmony, and prosperity, making this a particularly attractive and meaningful example of Japanese decorative art.
The vase is signed on the underside, adding to its interest for collectors. A wooden display stand is included.
