Large antique figural porcelain Art Nouveau vase manufactured by Karl Ens of Volkstedt, Germany. Features 2 semi-nude women with a small putto figure and a dragonfly in relief on a body decorated with calla lilies that are embossed as well as figural. The figures are orange & green, giving the impression of a bronze finish. The body is sculpted from iridescent white marbled porcelain that has ribbons of color running through it. Leaves & stems are accented with hand painted gold trim along the edges. Base is marked in blue with a radiant sun with a line through it & "Germany".
Woman on base missing an arm. Tiny flake on edge of upper flower & chip on tip of leaf near base. Small nub & irregularity in glaze on back of vase, possibly damage or a manufacturing flaw. Underside of base has a few glaze misses. Please review all high resolution photographs for details.
