This wonderful little figure would originally have been seated on a horse-drawn wagon, carriage or similar cast iron toy. It features a red-painted uniform or coat, dark cap, gloves and boots, with remnants of flesh-tone/white facial paint.
The figure is constructed in two cast iron halves and retains its side fastener. The underside is open/contoured to allow the rider to straddle or mount the seat area of the original toy.
A great authentic-looking replacement or restoration part for a collector with an incomplete Kenton horse-drawn toy, or an interesting display piece on its own.
