Beautiful antique hand-knotted wool area rug measuring approximately 6’3” × 8’8” (75” × 104”).
This one-of-a-kind piece features an exceptionally detailed floral medallion design with an aged ivory and cream ground accented by burgundy, deep blue, muted blue-green, rust and warm neutral tones. Multiple floral borders frame the central medallion and give the rug a highly decorative, old-world look.
The rug has substantial authentic age-related wear, including low pile, fading and visible areas of pile loss/distressing through the lower central field. These areas are clearly shown in the photos and contribute heavily to its antique character. Edges and surface show additional wear consistent with age.
