This antique MONOT & STUMPF\" French art glass salt cellar measures 1.25\" tall and about 2.25\" across the top.This flared rim salt has beautiful gold iridescence with opalescent internal \"ribs\". It was made by Monot & Stumpf at the Pantin Glassworks in Pantin, France using a patented process to create the golden iridescence on the surface that dates to 1878. This salt has a peachy opalescent with a bronzed finish color, and was probably made around 1891.Note: This beautiful art glass was designed to directly compete with Tiffany, Steuben and other prominent art glass companies of this period and is regularly mistaken as Tiffany \"Pastel\" glass.
