Antique Marshall-Wells Hardware Co. ZENITH pocket knife, dating to the early 1900s.The surviving blade carries the distinctive circular Zenith trademark with star/radiating design. Second blade appears to be broken off. Marshall-Wells was a major American hardware wholesaler, and Zenith was one of its well-known house brands.Knife measures just over 3 1/2 inches closed and features black handle scales, metal shield, rounded bolsters, brass liners, and traditional pinned construction.This knife was originally a two-blade pattern. One blade is missing/broken off, while the remaining blade is intact and opens firmly with no side-to-side wobble.The surviving blade shows substantial age-related patina, oxidation/pitting, scratches, and wear from previous sharpening. Handle scales, bolsters, shield, and fittings also show honest wear consistent with age.An interesting early Marshall-Wells Zenith knife with a clearly identifiable trademark and plenty of antique character.Please review all photos carefully for condition, especially the missing/broken second blade and wear to the surviving blade.
