A magnificent, authentic antique Hand Painted Nippon ovoid-shaped porcelain vase. Dating from the late Meiji to early export period (circa 1891–1911), this exquisite cabinet vase features a vibrant, satin matte pink body contrasting against a highly decorative upper shoulder.
The upper half of the vase features intricate hand-painted floral motifs including soft pink, white, and golden blossoms accented with stylized teal-blue leaves. The entire decorative section is outlined with fine, raised gold moriage beadwork and slip trailing, a signature technique of historic Noritake and Morimura Brothers production. A beautiful Greek key patterned gold border and an elegant scrolling floral gilt band encircle the middle of the vase.
