Antique, early 18th century, hardcover, leatherbound book in overall good condition but missing the title page and what is listed in the table of contents at the back of the book as \'The Preface, by John Stoddart\', with the text beginning at page XXV titled \"The Testimony of the Provincial Quarterly Meeting for Ulster, held in Lurgan the Fifth of the Seventh Month, 1713.\" Testimonies mention Edmundson also traveled to America spreading the Quaker faith and \"was very serviceable in convincing many, and setling Meetings both for the Worship of God and Church Discipline, not sparing himself or his Substance to perform the Lord\'s Work unto which he was called for the Good of Souls\".
Exterior leather is stable and easy to casually handle with some rubs, chips or bumps to the outer corners and edges of the boards. Hinges have very thin cracks but are still well and firmly connected to the rest of the book and the exterior is clean with some toning to the leather from age and very small and stable crazing or crackling lines. Front and back endpapers have the name of Mary Wood written in very old ink, who upon research was a known early 19th century Quaker. Book has at least two red ribbon page markers in it and pages are sturdy and well legible with toning, foxing, minor soiling or other age or use wear like an occasional thin tear to a page. Books binding is well intact, and aside for the aforementioned missing title page and preface pages (ie pages before xxv) the book is complete and there are no pages detached or loose from the binding. Book has no odors.
Book\'s pagination totals 334 numbered pages followed by a general index and a table of contents. Book measures approximately 8 1/4 x 6 3/8 x 1 1/4 inches and weighs about 1 1/4 pounds.
