Antique Standard Churn Company No. 1 five-gallon butter churn manufactured in Wapakoneta, Ohio. This early wooden churn features a hand-crank mechanism with exposed cast-iron gearing, internal wooden paddles, curved wooden legs, original hardware, and a white ceramic lid knob. The front is marked “No. 1 – 5 Galls.” and the reverse is marked “Manufactured by Standard Churn Co. Wapakoneta, O.H. U.S.A.” The churn retains its original decorative stencil detailing and aged finish, with substantial character and surface wear consistent with its age. The crank, gears, and internal mechanism are present.
Shows age-related wear, scratches, finish loss, discoloration, oxidation to the metal components, and other imperfections from decades of use and storage. Please examine the condition carefully.
