Beautiful antique Success floral banquet/parlor lamp, featuring an impressive hand-decorated glass globe, coordinating decorated lower glass font, and ornate metal base. This \"Gone With The Wind\" lamp was produced by the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company around 1900-1905. It was later electrified. It is a 3 way setting.
The “SUCCESS” marking visible on the lamp\'s burner/control is associated with oil-lamp components produced by the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Company, a prominent American lighting manufacturer operating during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Period Success lamps and burners are generally associated with the circa 1890s–early 1900s period.
This style of large decorative lamp is commonly referred to today as a banquet lamp, parlor lamp, or “Gone With the Wind” style lamp. Originally designed during the kerosene/oil-lamp era, many surviving examples were later converted to electricity so they could continue to be used in the modern home. Own a part of history with this beautiful antique lamp.
This particular lamp has been electrified and retains the antique Success-marked hardware.
