The exact original intended use is unknown. Due to its small size, this appears to be a pocket accessory case, possibly intended for pills, stamps, coins or another small personal item. It is too small for standard cigarettes.
Vintage used condition with numerous surface scratches, small marks, tarnish and general wear consistent with age and use. No attempt has been made to aggressively polish the piece.
